Course Description:
This course builds on diagnosis and treatment planning and focuses on the moment when the patient returns for a re-evaluation following initial phase 1 non-surgical periodontal therapy. At this critical clinical juncture, important decisions need to be made about whether further therapy may be needed to treat residual periodontal disease, and about a patient's future periodontal maintenance schedule. Various cases will be reviewed and discussed to help demonstrate patient outcomes.
